Saydone Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-20. Saydone is a product of Msassi Design+Code Ltd. ("we", "us"), 1045 Woodhaven Drive, Kingston, Ontario K7P 0H7, Canada. Contact: support@saydone.ca.
These terms are an agreement between you, the business owner who signs up ("you"), and us. By creating an account or using Saydone, you accept them. If you use Saydone for a company, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.
1. What Saydone does
Saydone helps you run a small service business in Canada. You can write quotes (by typing or by talking), send them, book visits, send invoices, take card payments through your own Stripe account, record e-Transfers and other payments, and message your clients.
Saydone is a tool. You decide what you quote, charge, send and collect. You stay responsible for your work, your prices, your clients and your business records.
2. Your account
- You need a valid email, or an Apple or Google sign-in, to use Saydone.
- Keep your devices and email secure. Anyone who can open your email can sign in to your account.
- Each account belongs to one business. One plan covers one business.
- You must be 18 or older and run a business in Canada.
3. Your plan and payment
- Saydone costs C$39.99 a month or C$399 a year, plus sales tax where it applies. Prices can change. We tell you at least 30 days before a price change, and it starts at your next renewal.
- New owners get a 14-day free trial. On iPhone, the trial runs through Apple and needs one free quote first. On Android and the web, signing up starts the trial with no payment.
- You buy the plan through Apple, Google Play or our web checkout. Apple and Google charge, renew and refund their own purchases under their rules. To cancel a store plan, cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.
- Web plans renew until you cancel. When you cancel, the plan works until the end of the period you paid for. We don't give part refunds for a period already started, unless the law requires it.
- If a renewal fails, everything keeps working for a short grace period while the payment is tried again. After that, new work (new quotes, invoices, visits and clients) waits until the plan is paid. Viewing your records, getting paid on what you sent, and export keep working.
4. Card payments from your clients
- Card payments, Tap to Pay and payouts go through your own Stripe account. Stripe is the payment processor, and you accept Stripe's own terms when you connect it.
- You are the seller. Stripe's fees, refunds, disputes (chargebacks) and any negative balance are yours, never ours. We never hold your money.
- e-Transfers go from your clients to your own bank. "Mark as paid" records what you tell us. Check your bank before you mark something paid. We don't move or hold e-Transfer money.
5. Tax
Saydone works out GST, HST, PST, RST and QST on your documents from the settings you give it and the province of each job. You are responsible for your tax registration, the numbers you enter, what you charge, and filing your returns. Check the figures with your own records. The tax summary and accountant export help you file; they don't file for you.
6. Messages to your clients
- Saydone sends texts and emails to your clients for you: quotes, booking messages, reminders and invoices. You confirm that you have a business relationship with each client you add, and the right to contact them.
- Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) applies to you as the sender. Saydone's messages are about the work you agreed on. Every text lets the client reply STOP, and every reminder email has a "Stop reminders" link. Don't use Saydone to send marketing.
- Your business name appears on every message. Clients reply to you, not to us.
7. Talk your quote (recordings)
- When you record a conversation, you must tell everyone being recorded and follow the law where you are. Saydone shows a reminder before each recording.
- Recordings are sent to our speech and AI providers to write a draft quote (see the Privacy policy). You choose how long recordings are kept: 7, 30 or 90 days.
- AI drafts can be wrong. Check every line and price before you send a quote. You are responsible for what you send.
8. Your data
- Your data is yours. We use it only to run Saydone for you, as the Privacy policy explains.
- You can export everything at any time: quotes, invoices and receipts as PDF files, and clients, payments and prices as CSV files.
- You can delete your account in the app or at saydone.ca. Deletion takes 30 days, so you can change your mind; then your data is removed. The Canada Revenue Agency asks businesses to keep records for 6 years, so export first.
- Our staff can see your account only when you turn on support access, for 24 hours or 7 days, and every look is shown to you.
9. Fair use
Don't use Saydone to break the law, harass anyone, send spam, upload harmful code, try to get into other accounts, or copy or resell the service. We can suspend an account that does, and we tell you why when we can.
10. Changes to Saydone and these terms
We improve Saydone all the time and may change or remove features. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you in the app at least 30 days before. If you keep using Saydone after the change, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can export your data and close your account.
11. Our responsibility
- We work hard to keep Saydone running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes.
- To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits, lost clients or lost data you didn't export. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you that can't be taken away.
12. Ending
You can stop using Saydone at any time. We can end these terms with 30 days' notice, or right away if you break them seriously. When the terms end, you can still export your data for 30 days.
13. Law
The laws of Ontario and of Canada apply. Courts in Ontario hear any dispute, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
